Collection: Annemarie Mullan

Annemarie is a graduate in jewellery and silver-smithing from the University of Ulster, and a Masters from both the New York University and from the Creative Writing program of the Seamus Heaney Centre in Queen’s University, Belfast.  She is also a recent graduate from the Ceramic HND in the Metropolitan College, Belfast and is a founder member of the Cre Collective.

Many of her ceramic sculptures are informed by a childhood on a hill farm on the Sperrin range, overlooking Lough Foyle and the distant hills of Donegal. She has an enduring fascination with the Victorian gothic – tempered by the guileless features of her doll-like characters.

Her work has been exhibited in the RUA, Sculpture in Context, and in group shows.  She is also a featured artist in John Goode’s 2021 publication Irish Ceramics.
