Colleen graduated from Ulster University in 2024. 

Derry born Colleen’s practice is centred around scenes of everyday life, originating from an archive of found image sources she accumulated over time. She is most interested in the transformative potential of painting to elevate those inconsequential moments with the intention of untapping a rich array of evocations that can lie dormant in the overlooked aspects of daily life. These can often be contradictory by nature at once humorous and melancholy, enigmatic and candid, deadpan and elusive, ordinary but strange.

Colleen won the Jordan Mills Memorial Prize for Landscape Painting, Ulster University, 2024.
